My favorite Fiats are Morettis like this 850 based Sportiva. Before WWII, Giovanni Moretti's company built their own autos, motorcycles, and racecars, but like a lot of companies, their fortunes changed after the fall of Mussolini. Fiat had always been a rival, but Moretti was still close friends with Gianni Angelli, Fiat's head in the 50's. Moretti's buddy helped out his old friend by agreeing to supply Moretti with chassis and mechanical stuff and Moretti became a coach builder for all intents and purposes. Their cars were stylish little machines and this design is probably my favorite with its swoopy fenders. Moretti lasted until '89 by which time they had branched out from sports cars building things like this rebodied Panda 4X4 called the Midimaxi.
